OUR CONFERENCE

Suffolk Foster Carer Association’s First Conference since the Pandemic is to be held at Kesgrave Village Memorial Hall, IP5 1JF on March 11 2023.

Its going to be a half day of conference and discussions with arrivals from 9:30am, followed by Lunch and then a ‘Celebration of Fostering’ with the Fostering Service.

Childcare will be provided. More details to follow. However it is planned that children under 5s will be cared for onsite and children aged 5 plus will be looked after by School’s out activities camps off site.

The venue has plenty of space for parking and there is also a second nearby car park across the road at the G.P surgery.

We hope it will be a great day with the principal speaker Scott King, an ex-child in care and founder of Section 31. His drive is “to be an active campaigner working to change and improve the life chances of those in and leaving care.”

More information will be released next month to keep your interest high.

To book a place please email or call Danny Gwilliam asap, advising the number of adults and children attending, with the children’s ages. Danny can be contacted at [email protected], or 01473 264726.

Official forms will go out soon, but hurry, like all of our events it’s free to carers and counts towards your learning and development. It’s a great opportunity to meet friends, talk to other carers and help shape our fostering.
